I just stumbled across this awesome new Fender pedal, which can turn your Martin dreadnaught, or any other acoustic guitar, into a screaming Tele, Strat, or LP. Awesome! It sounds great! And when they compare by plugging the guitar into a standard overdrive pedal it doesn't sound nearly as good.

    Kind of a cool pedal.
I cant stand watching the Andertons videos, they talk too much and are annoying.

There are many other videos on YouTube of this pedal. I used this one because it was the first one I found.

I’m not sure that I understand it.

When I want to make acoustic sounds, I play an acoustic.

When I want to make electric sounds, I play an electric, which seems to make producing the electric sounds that I like to make significantly easier than it would be with an acoustic guitar.

This must be for people who wear ankle weights when they run.

I think I'm gonna stick with my Electro Harmonix Metal Muff while playing my old Yamaha electro acoustic.

I actually like what they’re doing. I hope it sounds good.

like their first line of pedals, got interested in their tube distortion and i also want the boost!

This does seem to be a 'who asked for it?' mismatch a la putting black pepper on a donut. And why are Fender making these pedal enclosures so damned large?

That's a lot of money for a Martin or Gibson acoustic to make it sound like an electric.

I don't understand the confusion. It's obviously aimed at acoustic players who don't own an electric guitar and amp, or don't want to have to haul them to a gig just to get those sounds during a few songs out of their set. It seems to be a great investment for a successful gigging acoustic player who wants to add some electric guitar sounds to their repertoire.
However, after watching the video again, it does sound better to me when using the magnetic soundhole pickup than it does when using the piezo one.
With this kind of negative response, the next time I find something cool, I won't bother to share, I'll just keep it to myself.

That's a little touchy. I do see your point though, I guess.

Yup, that's cool. Maybe next month I'll GAS on acoustic stuff. Did they mention what amp they are using? Didn't hear them say.

So if @RetroTeleRod plugged his tele into his acoustic simulator and then plugged that into this fender pedal, then he'd get a Les Paul out the other end?

    Brilliant!!!

Only that it was an acoustic amp. From what I could see of it, it was a small black one.

Or... you could put a Tele into an acoustic simulator and then into this box to make it sound like a Tele

Too bad the set-up wasn't more traditional in that vid, then we would know what that pedal can do. I didn't learn a thing.

I instantly thought this was an Andertons fail vid (which to me would be unusual), but perhaps this pedal needed all the help it could get because it is not very good. Just a hunch though.
