This is a weak command like:

A command would not have included a question mark.
Auxiliary verbs (do, be, am, is, as, was, were, has, have, had) also work as interrogatives.
Am I getting through to you?
Do I make myself clear?
Was that easier to understand?
Have I become a thread tool? Yes. Yes I have!
I was gonna suggest: WTF? But that may be a variation on what.
Cigars? Cigarettes? Tipparillos?

those six words have remarkably broad ranges, covering agency, causation, location in space and time, sequence, process, intention, etc., as well as the possibly complex relationships between those things.
those are some big little words!
In order to orient in space/time, there are only two pertinent questions and everything else is just conversation.
