On 335 shaped guitars the top of the body might touch my nipples. So, pretty high.

I used to play bass in bands, and I think that affected my idea of where to hang the guitar. The Tom Morello pic earlier is just about right for me!

From the 70's till about the late 80's it was Johnny Ramone low. I had to either bend over or spread my legs wide to even play.
Sometime around the late 80's though I started bringing it up because of a bad back to where it is now. About my waist or a tad bit higher.

I always thought BB King had it quite high...? The older I get the higher it seems to get to ease wrist bending... maybe he slung it lower when he was young.

As I get older the guitar gets higher...just like my belt/pants waist. ;) More playable that way.

Due to a permanent elbow injury, I cannot have it very high. The elbow gets sore after being bent for a prolonged period. My arm is basically straight just past the end of a full strum at the bridge. Kind of a bummer but I have mostly adapted. Certain things are very unplayable for me though. Whenever I hear people playing guitar that really floats my boat, they are always playing it fairly high up.

Just above belt buckle, but I play a bigger-bodied guitar so it looks higher than what it is.

Still, not super cool, not super dorky, and suits playability just fine for what I do.

High like BB King in that photo.

I have a friend who plays his guitar so low that his arms are fully extended and I do believe his knuckles are dragging on the ground. Wait - his knuckles drag on the ground even when he's not playing the guitar, LOL

I've never understood why folks wear their guitars so high - it hurts my right elbow to keep it bent so much over time. I keep mine basically right in front of my belt buckle.

Here's me playing a 70s Les Paul Custom and singing about 25 years ago. I still have the guitar. I'ts not in this picture, but the pickguard to that guitar has a G&S skateboard sticker from a pile Chris Cornell threw onstage when I saw Soundgarden in a bar in Pensacola around 1993-4.

Back in those days I was using Fripp's Crafty tuning, and trying to be both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend at the same time. Since then I've lost a lot fo hair and added a respectable beer gut.

The "relic'd" picture is the result of a flood many years ago that got to my drummer's pictures.
