My wife and I have been on a camping trip for the last 4 days. Just got home a little bit ago. We got the trailer and SUV unpacked, then sat down to supper...and the power went out!:(

Now our camping was done in a brand new RV trailer, so we camped with water and electrical hook ups. We had a confection/microwave oven, a fridge, freezer, TV...all the luxuries of home while camped out at Pedernales State Park.

And we come home just in time to “rough it”!

    How’s that for irony?!?o_O:(

Yup, we live off the grid and sometimes during the winter, we will drive into town (9 miles away) and find out we were the only ones with electricity in the whole area.

You don’t need electricity. Play your acoustic guitar(s).

Power's already back on. It was out for just about an hour. The power outage affected just our section of town, but a major hospital is right down the street, so they generally get power back up pretty fast as a result. I had just grabbed my Gretsch Jim Dandy and joined my wife out on the back deck. I'd barely played a note before the power came back on.

So here's a pic my wife took when the power went out and I was creating this thread using my iPhone...

Granted, the focus isn't great, but in my wife's defense, it was "a shot in the dark.":twisted:

Someday, and not too far off, these may be more valuable than life itself.

    At least the neighbor-who-has-one's life.

My daughter someone with a beard like this the other day in a park and shouted 'science class!'

Thought I best let you know that, in case it was you

She is 10 years old and knows better, but I just had to hide my giggles

That depends. How wide are your feet? Do you wear shoes? Do you insist on getting second breakfast? Elevenses?
