I grew up listening to Joy Division/New Order and always loved Peter Hook’s bass playing. Since a Shergold Marathon 6 is pretty much out of my reach, I was elated when Eastwood released their version, the Hooky Bass 6 Pro. I’ve had it for about a month now and I can’t put the thing down. By far, this is one of the most inspiring instruments I’ve had the pleasure of getting my hands on. I’ve previously owned a Fender Bass VI as well as the Squier version, and a Schecter Hellcat VI, but the Eastwood just plays better.
Anyway, here are a few pics of the bass.

    Well....that’s cool!

    And 8! 8 pole pieces!

I’ve yet to play a bass VI, seems like you got a nice one

I just copied the name of it and I'm going to look it up!

I love bass 6's, and I've had a couple through the years

A Bass VI is on The GAS List...this one will be added to the options, if I can find one in person...

If you think about i, it's basically the same concept as a P or J bass pickup with string going between the pole piece as opposed to running straight over them. Makes it a bit less percussive of a sound which can be a good thing on a bass.
