If this means the most expensive then no - that honour would go to my Rickenbacker 330.

If it's the most played, then I'm afraid my US Std Tele fails again. Not all is lost though - My homebrew thinline probably comes in neck and neck with my Epi Dot and my Acoustic....

I hope everyone believes him. It'll help keep the price down.

Again, it all depends on what you mean by best.

My ugliest tele, also my favorite sounding guitar, happens to have a horribly slim tele neck, but is definitely my best guitar.

I bought the guitar because it was cheap, and I was hooked as soon as I plugged it to my own amp.

It is my go to guitar, it is everything I need it to be. It is my best guitar.

I split time between one of my Teles, my Jag and my Taylor acoustic. I have enough love for all of them.

I finally found a guitar that I liked better than a Tele, a PRS Starla. It's very Tele like, in that it has a single Volume, single Tone and a slide pickup selector. I found that I really like the sound of a mahogany guitar, and the Bigsby. The guitar comes with pickups that sound a lot like Gretsch Filtertrons/TV Jones. I now own three of them. I have the guitar in the picture wired as 6k single coils (grounded out the inner coils).

    A definite maybe....

My Cabronita and '60s Tribute SG are currently battling for supremacy.

All my guitars are my best (mostly) I've been buying , selling and trading for years and the ones I have now are pretty much keepers.

Every time I see a guitar I really want I think what I could trade or sell and I can't think of anything that I wouldn't miss.

Teles are great guitars but so are LPs, SGs, Gibson ES models ( too many great ones to pick from) Strats, Rics and so on.

Depends on the weather, my mood, or what I'm getting for supper.

I have a number of favourites, but today my most favourite 'favourites' would have to include a Ron Kirn tele, a Limited Edition NoCaster tele, a Rory Gallagher Relic'd Strat, and a Gibson CS LP 'Special' - thats all 'single coilers' BTW, then there might be a VOS Pearly Gates, a Gibby ES339 or a Rick 620 for the HB content.

Tomorrow could be a totally different list, depending on the weather etc., ........ I just love guitars, but I don't own as many of them as I would like to own ........ then again ..... perhaps I own many more than might be considered reasonable ....... who cares? ...... they are all my favourites!!

    Yes.

I have more than a fair number of guitars
My go-to guitar is a tele.
If I need a does-anything guitar it is a tele

If I want jazz, I've got a jazzbox, or a tele
If I want rock, I've got twin humbuckers, or a tele
If I want blues, I've got a strat or a tele.
If I want rockabilly, I've got a Gretsch or a tele.
    And so on...

no, my Martin OM-28 is a "better" guitar than my faithfull old Tele. I'm glad to have both, and this was pretty much a useless exercise. I guess it's my best electric, but they are all great guitars and I keep them all in the rotation.

I'm pretty sure since it's an old worthless late 70's model in Geezerburst, nobody else would think it's all that good. unless they actually played it of course...;)

To me, the best guitar means the one I play the most. This week these three would be in a tie for first place...

One made in China, one made in Japan, and one made by me. You can probably guess which one I assembled. :D

Yes. And this is Mexican Tele (with a few upgrades) vs. LP standard. Not to say I don't love my Les Paul, I do and I'll never part with it and it rules for melting faces. But if I had to take 1 guitar to a gig it would be a tele every time.
