Well, with times seeming even harder, your land line and cell line are not immune to relentless solicitations for your home. As a Realtor, I find this jaw dropping. And its corporations down to one man operations doing these deeds. So here is a hint, the more conveninece they offer, the more you pay through the roof.

He's talking about the people or bots or whatever they are that call and text you about selling your property and XYZ address, Yourtown, USA. They're just a town or so over and are wondering if you're wanting to sell. I want to call them back and give them a supreme runaround but that would be a waste of my time.

All the what ifs get to me. Some people must be taken by this predatory 'help', but I wonder who they are. The safe bet is that they have their backs against the wall because OP is right, I'll eat my hat if the seller gets a fair price. It's almost the same deal with the people who advertise on TV who guarantee an offer right away. The seller absolutely must pay for every bit of 'convenience'.

as long as you don't buy your phone at walmart, all the major carriers have apps that are free to you to download and they filter those kinds of calls out... I've used it on ATT and Verizon and Sprint and it works great.

I'd cut that landline if you get decent cell service...

Sound advice on the app. Land line’s been cut since 2004 or so.

It breaks my heart each time a client or friend makes one of those deals.
I can talk until I'm blue in the face, but it just seems to hypnotize them.
As adults, they are entitled to sign deals that I wouldn't.

When we switched to streaming TV, and dropped our land line, life became so much simpler. On the rare occasion that I get a junk call on my cell phone, I add it to the blocked numbers, and that's it, never hear from them again. I would not have a land line if they furnished it free and sent me a check for fifty bucks a month.

I need a landline, because cell coverage sucks at my house, but I never answer it and let all calls go to VM. Almost nobody I know ever calls me anyway.

And I get spam calls on the cell phone too. I never answer if I don’t know who is calling.

So far no calls from Tom.

So lets all chip in a couple bucks, buy our own demon dialer and whenever any of us get a robocall, add that number to our call list.

Just say no , they stop , there’s an awkward pause and they say say thank you and you hang up. So easy even a 57 yo can understand that.
Btw I ditched the land line years ago.
It was two years before the wife noticed.

What's a land line? Something from the 19th century, right?

And any number not in my contacts goes straight to voicemail, and then I usually block it.
