How about a 1962 Guild Starfire I. Got a DeArmond DynaSonic pup in it (the same as you found in Gretsch guitars from about 1949 to 1957). This pickup ain't for the unwashed. Story is the Alnico V mangets are so strong that if mounted too high they can actually cancel the vibrations of a string. Microphonic as all get out but the fattest single coil I have ever heard.

I've just bought some Gibson 57 Classics to put in my Epi Dot. I'm looking forward to hearing how they sound, if I can ever figure out how to put them in.

I recently bought my first non-solid electric, a '95 Hamer Artist. Here's a bad snapshot:

I found this mid 60's Univox Pro (ES175 clone) with the neck broken off and the pickups smashed in. I restored to her beauty...with some GF Recto-trons and custom hand built rosewood pickup rings. She is HEAVY but plays like a dream and sounds amazing. If anyone has a Univox logo kicking around it would sure go nice on the headstock..

I just joined this club, too, when I picked up this Dean 12-string semi-hollow over the weekend (my other guitar is an Esquire). Not a bad little 12-string. Really top-heavy, though.

Here's an old Silvertone 1427 that I bought from a member here. I also just bought a 1385 (similar but a tad thicker) that just arrived today. Gotta love those old P13 pickups for jump blues.

Bill, what's a P13? That looks like an old one that's new to me!

Upgraded my Epiphone Dot with some Gibson 57 Classics a couple of weeks ago. Hotter, louder, cooler, fuller than the original p'ups. Nice switcheroo.

Sorry to be slow replying. The P13 was the predecessor to the P90. As I understand it, Gibson supplied the pickups and the wiring harness for those old Silvertones and Harmonys. One of the main differences between the P13 and the P90 is that the P13 is all enclosed in metal, which tends to make it a little darker sounding. Great pickups though!

Here are my two Silvertones. I have a Harmony H62 coming too, but it will be a couple of weeks before it arrives.

That is stunningly Beautiful,it makes Me feel kinda funny inside.
as for mine I have a 58 Gretsch anniversary (frankensteined with hilo trons and gibson type vol/tone layout and a Bigsby)I love and a wierd Hondo from the 80's called the Fatboy that is actually very well built (same body shape/size as the gretsch) does anyone else have one of these or even seen one? the only grip I have is that it came with rather hot dimarzio lookin pickups that I have been meaning to swap out for 20+ years but ,never been at the top of My to-do list .Also do thinlines count? got one a those too
