    Hey James,
The experiments on integrating RC technology have already begun. Jim wants to see if it can happen in a Tele neck form factor. That one and maybe a bridge version are on deck this weekend. :) If I can replicate, I might be persuaded to attempt hiding a pair in humbucker covers complete with fake pole screws. We will see. ;-)

I vote no f-hole. Just seems like it would be cool to have a hollow body where people cant really tell its a hollow body until they knock on it. You make it look easy, maybe it really isnt that bad... my skills have improved a lot, maybe i'll have to try a real hollowbody soon. Maybe about mid june...

    +1 on the f-hole.

Perhaps i missed it, but how are the controls going in?
Access in the back or something else?

Very nice build. I see a semi-hollow LP in my future :D

Not a fan of the f-hole in the LP body. I would leave it off. Everytime someone picks it up, they'll wonder what's up. I have a semi hollow Tele without f-hole, and it's fun every time someone grabs it. They're like, "wow this thing is light, what is it made out of"? I say Mahogany, Maple and Air;)

If we're voting, I'm also voting for no f hole.

I may consider a different shaped hole, but not the f...

Controls are going in through the pickup cavities. I have a pretty narrow center block compared to a 335 (LP is a lot smaller). Anyway there should be enough room on each side of the pup route to get the controls thru... probably:D.

    James,
What kind of humbucker covers don't you like? Would something like this look good on an LP? ImageUploadedByTDPRI1431126689.186494.jpg

Giving Rob's question some thought I realize I'm particular in a somewhat random way. I like chrome humbucker covers, don't like black. I like black P90 covers and cream P90 covers but not chrome or dog ear ones. Don't like black HB rings on an LP for some reason, only cream or chrome. Not a big fan of mini's in an LP, and no gold hardware shall ever adorn a guitar I have to look at daily. I like the coverless zebra humbucker look on an LP. Clearly I have issues.

Solid covers would be easiest but I find those bland. Poles extending through center aligned holes like the picture is probably second easiest. But then again this isn't my decision. Maybe I should work on feasibility first? :)

. . . or, you could fish them in through the F-hole, if there were an F-hole-- oh, wait a minute--F-hole's on the other side, isn't it? Well, then I guess you will need 2 F holes. Yeah, that's the ticket, let's rile up those people who don't like F holes.

Or you could use mini-pots. I found some Bourne pots that are really small, for the Labrocaster build, that I liked a lot. They feel like quality full size pots.
