I was out and about today.

I set forth at noon to sell my Austin Tele to a lovely local gentleman, but on the way, I visited with a terrific man who had a Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin arch-top in Natural Finish.

I wasn't playing the Austin as much as I would like, despite how great she is, and I have been lusting for a Kingpin for many years.

    Anyway.
All's well that ends well, and I made two new friends today.

    One acquisition, and one sale.
The total number of guitars at home remains the same.

God isn't keeping score, but my wife just might be.

    :(

I would be happy to have either of those two guitars. You are fortunate. Enjoy!

I think it sounds great! I was afraid on getting these type of guitars as I dont want a dull sounding very warm jazz guitar.. Its going to be either this or the casino when tax return comes in!!!

Thanks. Mine had a Bartolini pickup. I don't have it now for the same reason I don't have many of the excellent gear I've had.

The Godin is really lovely, and I trust the Austin was not your only tele

Please report back to tell whether the Kingpin sounds (as well as looks) close to a good ES-125… that might just put it on the radar for me … I love that kind of warm sounding jazz guitar, except it ain’t “dull” in any way unless you want it to :p

(for action… go straight at 1.30)

(awwww Tim… still trying to put this in practice!)

    (gosh!)

Sorry for the OT!! Hope you enjoy your guitar!!

I have the Godin A6 Ultra, and love that guitar! I'd like to get the Nylon version of it someday.
