    No I don't think that's all original, possibly added the gold tuners/covers/knobs I wonder ...

    Was that logo around in 1972?

    It's identical to my new Thinline.

    Something about the "ferrule plate" looks a bit off, and didn't the '72 have a 3-bold neckplate?

    No bullet truss rod, 3 bolt neck plate, big F tuners, only 2 screw HB fixing??????

    72 Thinline is the model name, not year of manufacture. I think Squire made Thinline deluxes with gold hardware in Japan. That, in addition to discrepancies pointed out by others suggest this is not a "72 Fender", more likely modified Squire. The two screw WRHB mount and lack of bullet nut are dead giveaways, but even the Squires had bullet nuts! Then there's the 5 screw Squire bridge...but who knows?

    They made a Thinline with that pickup configuration from "72 thru about 78 or so... that example is not one of those examples for reasons above..

    The seller is a pawn shop, it's now showing as sold for £649.99 approx US $860.
