heisenberg song is good.
Obviously the original Hawaii 5 - 0. Then there was the Banana Splits, The Beverley Hillbillies, Minder, Only Fools And Horses and a series called Boon that used Jim Diamond’s Hi Ho Silver. All old stuff I’m afraid........
What is a ‘hippest song’ ?
I saw Pentangle back in the day at the Troubadour.
Are you sure that's not Renbourn on the electric? I couldn't see the face on the other guitarist.
The Monk theme:
had to put that last one in...a brit institution
Barrie Cadogan of Little Barrie is a really great player.
I can only really answer to that.... that I saw Pentangle live, both times Jansch took up an electric Tele as it happens but never mind, and both times was stage right. Plus, Renbourne was a tad shorter/stockier than Jansch... If I'm wrong fair play but....
btw, last time c. 10 years ago, Renbourne sat cross legged on the floor to play sitar.... And had to be helped back up by the roadies... Comes to us all guess!
I've only seen Bert Jansch clean shaven and never knew either of them to play an electric.
I'll take your word for it.
This isn't the original but it's pretty hip.
My first instinct was obviously The Peter Gunn Theme.
But then I remembered this jewel (below) that my wife watched via Roku back in 2008, while walking on her treadmill.
It was an odd combination of a period piece, science fiction, and police procedural.
I don't watch television, but I heard a lot of the dialogue when she was watching it, while I was doing things around the house.
And I remember her crying and crying when the series ended, because the lead character was never going to get the girl.
Or something like that.
Our boys loved Inspector Gadget
That's a solid cover, but hard to compare to the original. IIRC, a teen witch movie (the Craft) that came out around the same time as Charmed also used HSIN in the trailer at least, and that same version (by Love Spit Love with the P. Furs' Richard Butler on vox). I'm not getting the connection, that song is brutally sad.
Man I got a lot more, but this one just popped into my head. RIP Joe!
Well it is a TV theme song. Great solo by an MG to boot
