Cork-sniffiest description ever?
From the Way Huge Supa Lead pedal promo materials:

“you’ll get a sonically monstrous sound that’s reminiscent of an exploding tube amp stack with power saturation and hints of cone cry”

Carry on.
I’m a true tone believer. But maybe my ears aren’t what they used to be.

What about us least-discerning listeners? Will we be equally tantalized by the tonal corksniffery, as though a momentary glimpse of a higher plane of consciousness was made available to us?

Way Huge...I never got to try a Saffron Squeeze or a Pork Loin. I did get to fuzz off for a few minutes with a Swollen Pickle once, years ago.

Question is, would you know cone cry if you heard it? Only then will you be worthy.

I’m not sure! I thought it was just a term for the onset of speaker distortion, but maybe it’s a different thing?

I play through a SS Peavey with a Scorpion in it nowadays, or an AudioKinesis cab with four FaitalPRO neodymium 8s in it, and I suspect getting cone cry or speaker distortion out of any of that would be accompanied by smoke and sparks, and permanent deafness.

Cone cry. From a pedal. Monstrous. From a pedal. Power stage saturation. From a pedal. Doubtless the onset of transformer core and motor saturation has been meticulously imbued by vertiginous application of half integer spin boson-bolides within the FETid toan-matrix.

Interesting spiel. Fractally laughable.

"First they said cone cry is bad....then they said cone cry is good...They they said cone cry from a speaker is bad, but from a pedal it's MAKE UP YOUR MIND! It's BREAKFAST! I gotta EAT!"
