I remember the scathing review for Triumph's catalog in The Rolling Stone Record Guide, where the albums were docked one star each for "plotting world domination from Canada."

Years ago I read a review of an Aha album in Rolling Stone:

This album is proof that these guys were signed for their hair.

My favorite is the Musician magazine review of the band GTR - "SHT".

"Top 40 Hot Country Hits" music has been so bad for so long I am surprised anyone listens at all anymore. Even the soccer moms.

I was in a Goodwill store yesterday and they had one of these stations on, it drove me out of the store

Hah! I remember that exact review. The same reviewer in every issue had a few barbed jabs at sh*tty albums. Another one he did was straight to the point ... David Lee Roth- "A Little Ain't Enough". The review was two words - Wanna bet?

I haven't seen Bill Murray's Netflix Christmas special yet, but I read a review that said "The word awful doesn't do it justice."
