WOW. Lots of great playing and sounds!!!! And I love the inspiration. I'm more of an IMSA guy myself. But Im too busy to watch full races. But I love road courses.

What kind of powertrain is spec'd in F1 at this point? v-6's?

real fun tune to track. came together really quickly, couple of days.

that bass is pretty aggressive, eh?!
i guess i think of the bass as being the pace of the race, and the guitars are like the whining engines. LOL

silly netflix, and their 'drive to survive' show, got me hooked in...

then i started going backwards in time, looking at previous seasons, and drivers, and history,
"Schumacher" "Grand Prix", "Rush", "Ferrari race to Immortality", there are a few more, but man, what a legacy.

and so hard core. crazy mo fo's.

i used this guitar for all the tracks,
instead of switching out, i wanted a more smoother sound; i did switch amps and cabs, but used the same guitar.

Around 3:20 your lines kind of suggested cars overtaking each other. Pretty cool in case. Guitar sounds great. I like older Ibanez guitars.

thanks for listening and commenting, blowtorch!
all motorsporsts are pretty exciting to me,
and i especially love top fuel dragsters...
but the idea of a FORMULA....
i just find really appealing.
and the sound of that ferrari motor winding up to 15,000 rpms....

hey mjark!
yea man, you totally get the visual i was after!
you've got the spin outs, the DRS systems on the straightaways, i kinda wanted to put some wicked high rev engine noise in there, using my carvin with the kahler trem, multitrack my version of a v6 at 15,000 rpm!!! heheh

love the ibanez.

it's like a heavy maserati.

Hi gonzo,
This is an "energy" song.
The "Formula One" is all over the guitar playing.
Love the pics of the guitar you used in this track.
I actually find the music as exciting as a real race.
Lovely.

That was killer! Loved the part where the virtual safety car came in and out for a while then "bam" back to the racing action!
Nice guitar and composition work there. Almost reminded me a bit like old Rush with the humbuckers.
HOWDY HO intubator!
thanks for listening

virtual safety car.......! yes!
everything has to chill for a bit, then, BOOM!

you know, i'm a big rush fan,
but i wasn't thinking of lifeson during this,
but now that you mention it,
yea... the ibanez humbuckers kind of have that vibe that the old gibsons he used have....
i really wanted THAT sound, and none of my other 4 guitars really get THAT sound.

the marshall model just made sense using the ibanez with the classic Super 80 pickups.

i've been experimenting with a LOT of cabinet IR's to match to the marshall model, with MY guitar setups, and i'm closing in on my very best choices.

this song is as much an experiment in cabinet ir's and 'less gain is more' approach than my previous stuff.

what's really interesting, is that, i'm using far less gain than i usually do, but in the mix, it sounds pretty saturated.
which i'm still coming to grips as to why it is that way.

it's a sound i've had in my head for a long time,
saturation, but without so much gain, not so much distortion.

Yeah, crappy conditions today at Suzuka but Max is the best for a second time in a row partly thanks to LeClerc taking the shortcut on the last turn. Congratulations to him and Red Bull! Hard to say if Perez would have actually taken second from LeClerc or not at that juncture of the race, plausible though...

thanks for checking this one out,
it really is a 'race' song...
when you watch the way the F1 race is done,
it kind of makes sense, the music, that is.

glad you dig this one! thanks again
