I must admit there was one concert, happened while I was in the Army and stationed in Germany. It was the summer of 1978. There was a two-day music festival in Babenhausen with Udo Lindenburg (Germany's Alice Cooper), Joe Cocker, Aerosmith, and Bad Company amongst others. I remember the trip out, day one of the concert, and spending the night, sleeping on the grass right in front of the stage. But day two, how I got back to the barracks, and what happened to my army sleeping bag, are still a mystery.Welcome to the forum old fart!! I must admit that not all my memories are crystal clear. It was 1977 and I was in the Army,stationed in Herzo Base, Germany. There was a two day music festival called the Golden Summer Night Festival in Goarshausen, Germany. Aerosmith, Country Joe and the Fish, Udo Lindenberg (Germany's Alice Cooper), Doobie Brothers, and Ted Nugent were some of the bands that showed up. I remember the trip there from Nurenburg, the first day, and snagging a place to sleep, right in front of the stage for the next day. As for day two, how I made it back to the barracks and what happened to my army issued sleeping bag, I haven't the foggiest.Welcome to the forum old fart!!
