Hi just wanted to introduce myself my name is Sal and I’ve been a long time lurker. I like to thank everyone for the wealth of information I’ve been able to get from this forum over the years. I currently have two teles one is an esquire I bought used and I believe is from a company called hot rod 6strings and my newly acquired custom shop nocaster in lush closet classic. Here is a quick pick from my iPhone. I am back and forth if in picked the right amount of relicing. I always thought I didn’t want to have a relic but now I’m wondering if I didn’t go far enough. The guitar is awesome and neck is the 10/56 v which I’m on the fence on. Any comments and recommendations would be great. I think I was thinking the back of the neck would be more relic than it is. The would guitar has finish checking including the neck. Anyhow I just wanted to introduce myself and see what everyone thought. Thanks so much and I’m glad to be able to finally be a part of the family.
    Sal

    Welcome.
Your Teles both look great. If you want more "relic"-effect, then just PLAY 'em. My preference is minimal, "honestly-achieved" wear......not a phony, done-in-a-shop finish. ;)

Quick question. Does the 10/56 v neck usually feels as fat as a nocaster U. I played a relic nocaster u the other day and it didn’t feel nearly as thick as my 10/56 v neck does. Maybe it’s the way I play but it actually feels thicker than the nocaster neck has anyone had the same experience.

Yea I love the esquire it has a thinner v neck like .90-.100 and I was thinking the nocaster would feel similar. It’s super cool double bound fiesta red. It has the cocked wah in the forward most position.

    Howdy and welcome!
Your teles look really nice. I love very light relic’ing from the CS. I once had a heavy relic strat and the neck, although the feel was great, was looking completely wrong.
Lush closet classic and journeyman are nice IMO. Enjoy!
