I’d like to introduce myself. I’ve been a voyeur of this forum for several years. I have learned a lot from this forum which has been very helpful. I’ve been hacking, woodshedding, stumbling, and enlightened by guitars for 40 years.
I’m not a Lawyer, dentist, Financial advisor or any of the stereotypes usually being chastised for owning high end gear because they can afford it. I do own some nice stuff but, at my own affordable level. Just a regular guy. You could say “I have more guitars than talent”. But, I believe I share all the same passion as everyone else who engages in the arts.
I raced on a mountain bike team, competed at a high level and did triathlons at a high level as well. My coach on our mountain bike team once said ”we all suffer at different levels” I believe this is true of anything you strive to be better at, no matter what level you may be.
Now…the reason I joined, I have a question concerning my 1997 JIC 72 Thinline Telecaster I will address in the technical section.
Here are pictures of my Tele‘s the orange one, aka “pumpkin face” was built by my close friend in 1992 for me. The bird’s eye maple top is from his property. The entire body is maple from his property that was seasoned for 21 year prior. It has a Stew Mac maple neck with an ebony board. It is the Impostercaster.
