I joined a little while back but just found the welcome wagon.

The first guitar I messed about with was an SX Tele. It had falled off the wall mount in a music shop so it had a dent and was discounted. It was blonde which i've never liked (sorry). Took it back to bare wood and clear coated it. I'll see if I can find a photo, it came out nice.

A bit later on I had a Squire Thinline (the early one without a pickguard) which was great. Unfortunately I needed cash and that went.

Recently I ended up with a crazy heavy ash body blank and a Mighty Mite neck, so i'm building again. Body has now got a couple of contours as well as a smuggler cavity under the pickguard to try and save some weight.

I still want to do a 12 string tele. One day.

Fun fact: I have a cat named Patsy that gets called "Faf du Patssis" during test season.

Welcome from Albuquerque New Mexico:DThat is an awesome guitar in tje pic, love the white bound, black body visual. I hear you on saving weight. Example, the white Fender Nashville Tele in the back is alder and is pushing 9 lbs in weight. The single bound, black guard BSB in the front, has a chambered Warmoth swamp ash body with a MusiKraft flame maple neck. Since it weighs just over 7 lbs, it's my #1. It has Texas Special pickups in it and the bridge pickup barks pretty good. My #2 the Nashville, came with noiseless pickups. They are good pickups, quiet and all, but nothing really to rave about. Good luck on your build. On your 12-string build, take the time to listen to Roger McGuinn's 12-string Rickenbacker. The sound is flawless. The Byrds song 'Mr Tamborine Man' by Dylan, vaulted the Rickenbacker 20210122_221535.jpg qqaaa12-string into legendary status. Because of that, I would put Rickenbacker on a build 12-string.

Hello from South Africa! I now work here in a motor trader, so it's nice to know that you're not alone. I was interested in your story because I had something like that, but my guitar fells not in the store, I fell on it, it is better not to ask how it's funny and equally sad. So I broke the fingerboard and tore the expensive strings. I spent a lot of money later on repairs) Then I understand how hard to restore it. Did you do everything yourself? Did you give it to the workshop? Reset the photo it will be interesting to see.
