    Hello all,

Been lurking for a few weeks now. Enjoying the posts...seems like a lot of nice people here.

Had guitars since I was 10 years old, started classical lessons 3 times but never stuck with it.

Guitar has always been a challenge for me, at least compared to piano, unfortunately I didn't stick with that either. Didn't think it was cool when I was 16.

Bought my first Fender (MIM Strat) in 1994, played obsessively for awhile...drowning my sorrows after things didn't work out with the girl of my dreams.

Then it hung on the wall until I finally sold it to a kid about 3 years ago.

Fast forward, another breakup, and I find myself renting a room in somebody's house and with some time on my hands. I wanted to get an acoustic but with roommates I didn't think I would be able to enjoy it much. So electric was not my first choice, but it seemed like with headphones it would be the best option. It has far exceeded my expectations. I'm enjoying guitar more than I ever have...despite my limited ability. Enjoying just trying to learn.

So it's been almost a year and I have found out I have a touch of "GAS". I have bought 5 guitars, sold 2, and just ordered my second Tele. A Wildwood thin skin 64 American Vintage.

Here are a few quick snaps of the rig so far:

Classic Player 50's, EJ, Baja. Blues Junior NOS (rarely plugged in). The Maxon is Analogman Silver Mod.

    Thanks for looking,

    Dave in LA.

Welcome, get out now before someone convinces you that you need more guitars amps or pedals. I came here with one guitar and one amp. I now own 9 guitars and 7 amps. But the people are lovely.

Love the pedal but finding I don't use it for what it can really do as I need to just keep things simple and focus on learning to play at this point. I have to say though that if I ever get rid of this pedal I would have to get the one that is just the preamp (ep booster?). I basically have it on all the time just for that. I'm not sure what the technical way to describe the way it enhances the sound is. I will just say it's like putting on rose colored glasses, or some good processing on an image in photoshop. More 3 dimensional?

I love the EP Booster. It definitely adds something. Always on.
