    Hi all,

Like most people I have been browsing this site for a while but as I do not own a Telecaster It has prevented me from joining so I thought maybe joining is the best way to get converted from Strat to Tele by you good people

I did not have a Tele when I joined; I joined to help narrow down the research process. Almost two years later, I pulled the trigger and got one.

    Welcome to the TDPRI!

    Welcome from New Jersey too!

And RE: George's rosewood Tele: a former member here actually handled that guitar when Delaney Bramlett sold it. I asked about the appearance of an extra route under the bridge in a picture and he PM'd me (he said the guitar was pro routed for P90s BTW).

Welcome. I'm originally from Crewe, and was in Liverpool around Christmas three years ago. It's changed a lot since I was a kid in the '50s.

I had a tele once, but the standard pickup configuration isn't my thing.

    What genres do you play?

Crewe? That's where you change trains, right?

I go back to Liverpool two or three times a year - I was last there in January - and you're right, the City Center has been totally rebuilt. I like to walk around trying to recognize/remember what used to be there before.

This is a pretty good website for any ex-pat Scousers feeling nostalgic!

^^^^ Yeah, the biggest passenger junction in the UK, with main lines branching out to the big cities like the spokes of a wheel. I never used to bother checking train times to the big cities, I'd just wait for the next one to come along.

Crewe forms the southern tip of a triangle with Liverpool and Manchester.

    Hi Tony,

I have been playing since 1960 (yes I am still alive) and play all types of music that appeal to me, so no specific genre.

Ah, I know that area fairly well. I went to school in Crosby and have friends and family in Formby and Southport.

I live in Formby but as nobody seems to have heard of it I always say near Southport.
