Hello i bought this heyboer transformer for my 50w plexi build but the primaries wire and secondary wire are on the same side...

on the picture of the website selling it those are not on the same side. Do i unfortunately got a bad transformer ?

how am i supposed to have a good wire management with this ?

i tried to push the wires to the other side but the paper seems to be glued and not letting them pass...

is there any solution for this issue ?

That is not a sign of bad transformer! Perhaps not best design looking using modern standard but obviously it is "traditional copy" There is paper or plastic isolation between essential wound layers.

i guess that it would work but for cable management it will be a pain. Isn't there a way to put the primaries on the other side without ruining the transformer ?

I would do a quick sketch of your layout, just the power side of the chassis and the approximate location and orientation of the PT. Then draw lines for the primaries and secondaries, which directions they head off in. A 50 watt chassis probably has a fair amount of space. Confirm this PT won’t fit your vision for the lead dress?

The Marstran 50 watt PT is also made the same way and is supposedly a direct copy of a particular vintage unit. A few of those wires won't be needed anyway so you could cut them short and heatshrink them. Other than that, you can use some small plastic wire clamps to hold the wires neatly and tightly down to the chassis. I use them in all of my builds these days and usually attach them to the PT mounting bolts to route them exactly where I want.

Edit; When installing them on a PT bolt, I place the clamp over the PT bolt and let it rest on top of the nut that holds the PT to the chassis. I will then install a nylon locknut over the clamp to hold it in place.
