Hey everyone, new member here but have been lurking on the site for many years now. Thank you all for your knowledge and contributions to the community!
I love to tinker, mod, assemble and repair guitars in my free time as many of us tend to do. Have also delved into the art of tasteful relicing/aging, mainly due to the fact that I can't have nice things without somehow dinging them!
I was bitten by the Tele bug three years ago when I snagged a 95 MIJ 72 Thinline. Little did I realize how hooked I would be after playing some more. It is AMAZING to me how each and every telecaster types has its own unique tone, but retains that Tele punch. Whether it be a Deluxe with WRHB competing(and excelling against in my opinion) to Les Pauls, a thinline with its sweet jazzy sound, Nashville with that added middle pickup, and of course saving best for last the quintessential good ol' workhorse with the baseplate.
Man, I love these guitars!
Have always been a Strat player since I picked up the guitar. When I was younger I always associated Tele with country stuff and being a die-hard metalhead and rocker(first guitar I saved up for on my own at 17 was a Jackson Rhoads RR3), passed over this marvel of an instrument until recently. Music tastes as well as playing evolves and expands over time, and I am now at a place where I find myself reaching for a Tele more than anything else to get the tones I need. My T-style collection has now expanded to 10 wonderful guitars, and I have NO plans of stopping acquiring them. Well...getting married in October might slow down the G.A.S, but have parts on the way to assemble a 51 Blackguard to finish off the collection.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
