Nobody really knows what happened. The forum just shut down this morning.
PK, Welcome to the forum. I too am very disappointed my daily addiction at the HOC has come to an end. Hope to see all our friends here. Peace, Stephen
I just hope nothing affects the production of the guitars themselves.
Someday I will join this club. Someday...
Well that's too bad. I'm holding out hope that it is somehow temporary.
While I didn't post a whole lot, I did read posts regularly.
My name over there was Sticky, by the way.
I too have a Heritage guitar. Love it. Play it a lot.
Does anyone have a site where I can ID it via the serial number?
Body thickness is only 1-1/2". It's thin.
Beautiful grain on the H-140 OlRedNeckHippy!
The serial # will only tell you the yr of manufacture. If you pull the control cavity plate, the model (H-140) and finish will be written in there, along with a signature.
Finish looks like Almond Burst.
OK! Thanks Monkey Man.
It is now confirmed, it's an H140CM, color is ASB (antique sun burst).
The original owner thought it was a 150, but after some research, I realized the 150's all have trapezoid inlays, not Dots like mine.
And, according to this:
it is a 1992.
It was my drummer's dad's.
Awesome! Bet it sounds and plays killer! Never met a Heritage that didn't.
I have two, and they are both fantastic.
Pickups plus bridge and tailpiece are Schaller, and the finish looks like it may be antique burst ( ASB ).
Heritage owners club?
It appears that these guitars survive with pretty much no pr at all. I love mine! It's a 1989 535 with the first variphase switching format. Funnily enough, the pics I have of it are ones I found of it from a Reverb.com auction that ended a few days before I actually bought it from Dave's Guitar Shop. Anyway, any other Heritage lovers here?
We added your post to the existing thread.
Thanks! I did a search but for some reason I couldn't find it.
I know, Heritage is a tough search. Keeps giving me Les Paul 'Heritage' model.
Beauty guitar BTW, Sam!
I have a gorgeous, gold top, Heritage H535, with a Bigsby...soon, I'll add a photo from another source, this being my cell phone.
My precious! Heritage 535 ASB 2004, with coil splitting and phase switches! Monster tone!
I get to play! I've had this since 2003, finally got around to taking a pic. HRW pickups.
My Heritage 535 gold top, with factory Bigsby...got it from the original owner, who custom ordered it.
Here’s my H576. My brother bought this in the late 90s. I told him for years if he ever sold it to give me first dibs. He called me a few years ago and offered to sell it to me dirt cheap. I wanted to give him a fair price so I called the guys at Wildwood and asked what they would give me in trade for the guitar after telling them the story. They were very honest and that’s what I paid my brother. He shipped it to me and it’s was filthy, rusty strings etc. I cleaned it up and set it up and Its an incredible guitar. Seth Lover humbuckers signed by Seth himself. It is a keeper!
