It’s a harbinger of the end of summer. I do love the cute little gourds, but I’m not fond of what comes after. Everything is pumpkin. Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin potpourri, ugggh!

I prefer spring to autumn. Autumn leads to winter, and winter sucks.

And what about pumpkincasters? I so love mine.... (and it's not pumpkin either.... a warm amber tint...)

Mmmm. Yes, squash pie with extra nutmeg, two months straight, nothing better except the following two months, where I will hear nothing but the same 8 christmas songs I have heard my entire life ad nauseum.... Why are you still on my lawn?

I like pumpkin seeds soaked in brine, then well toasted on a cookie sheet.

    Very tasty.

Pumpkin spice crap started shipping to stores in late July. Be grateful you had the extra few weeks

Yeah, they started showing a Disneyland commercial the last couple of days for their Halloween Town thing. I'm like "but it's still the middle of summer". Please no pumpkins at least until September.

I like fall. Anymore it's the only somewhat predictable transition season. Spring here is almost non existent. It can go from winter to summer here all in the same week and it will do that for about 4 weeks before finally settling on full blown summer heat by May.

Nah, put me down for pumpkin pie or pumpkin soup. Other than that, I’m out.

I put pumpkin seeds into my sourdough bread. Mmmmmmm. Gotta wait until Fall, so that I can crank up the wood cookstove first.

I live in southern Arizona but work in northern Alaska. I get the best and worst of summer and winter.
