And so says a hilarious headstone in Tombstone, Arz. That said I was cleaning a closet and found this, more of a joke at the time knowing my feelings for Gibson. Well I've been debating my slowburn winter project and this wasn't on the radar and isn't first now.
This won't move fast (not that my threads are now) but it is an interest that I will pursue off and on. I hope you enjoy :)

Jeez Dave!!!!!!!! You must have more half finished/started projects than me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to build an additional three level shelving system in the middle of my shed to accommodate all the cr@p!!!!

I think I need an industrial incinerator..............now there's a thought!!!! Budget Cremations (and old guitar projects disposed of!) very cheap!

Back in the dark ages a couple of books came out entitled 'The Book Of Lists' . One of the volumes had a collection of epitaphs from around the country. That was my introduction to Lester Moore. I am happy that it's been confirmed as genuine!

    One of my favorites is:

    'Told You I Was Sick'

Some Blue Bonnet, Cheez Whiz, & prescription meds is always a recipe for a good time.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I have projects that I haven't even started yet.

He was a Wells Fargo agent shot by an unhappy customer. As he was falling Lester shot and killed him. A teaching moment for Wal-Mart I'd think lol

    Wells Fargo...Unhappy Customer...?

Apparently nothing in the ensuing centuries has changed much...

The way I heard about Les was basically the same but a bit different wording.

"Here lies Les.Moore. Four shots from a forty-four!

    No less!

    no more!"

Is that pine? I did a pine LP with a pine carved top. I gave it away to a woodworking friend to finish up.

It is pine Marty, but the top will not be. Red or white oak, maybe

The only thing set in stone is the pups. For my 2012 Challenge Build I bought GFS Memphis Retrotrons that have never sounded right, too hot.All these years later I found they were the standard Liverpool pups in that line, the vintage nor overwound. I was sent the correct Memphis pups and told to keep the others. This winter when I change them out the Liverpools will be free for other duties lol. You can even hear them at GFS, they have soundfiles for all but my Memphis Retrotrons sigh

Any Japanese style saw can make any idiot (including me) look like a pro. They are insanely sharp, very thin and only cut on the pull stroke.Think about it,how hard is it to pull something straight to you and hold it upright? Your eye naturally cooperates in this case where you can see everything you're cutting whereas an American saw cuts as you push and you've no way until it to late to tell you Ffffd up lol

After chiseling the mortise flat and level I routed the wiring route and cut out a prospective back ;)

What ever the neck and bridge are connected to counts the most. A ply top and bottom cap isn't going to make much difference since the bridge screws are going through the top cap to the middle wood and that's what the neck will be mounted to.

The plywood that's available today isn't like the cheap crap we grew up with. You can get Birch(like Alder), Lauan(like Mahogany) and Red Oak(like Maple).
