The color is actually "Sea Foam Pearl", one of Fender's "pearlescent" finishes. It's a little different than Surf Green.

24 track... those two red ones that you like aren't CAR, they are Mystic Red, which is a bit darker than CAR and with metal flake - a much deeper looking finish than Candy Apple Red. Mystic Red has a bit of a "blood-like" quality - deep and mysterious.

I have Candy Apple Red also.. the CAR finish looks "flat" and lighter in tone, as compared to Mystic Red... as you can see below. Jade Pearl Metallic Strat on the right - another color that I really love.

Just thought you might want to know the true name of the color, in case you might want to look for it sometime. :)

Nope - just tube biscuits from the groceria. I do make from scratch, with butter, but not today.

Just received this just completed Ron Jeffreys twangbanger. I own a couple other more notable name guitars listed on this site, but this delivers the coup de gras to all other comers. I'm blown away. This is a bona fide country-jazz tone machine. I play mostly blues, but wanted a true vintage original to learn some Nashville pickin'. Who better to get a guitar than from an experienced luthier-Nashville session player. It feels right and sounds awesome.
I was going to buy a Ron Kirn, but circumstances led me to the "other Ron".
A Kirn may be in my future too, but I'll be very occupied with this baby for now.
    Thanks Ron!

Those are cool! I had a chance to buy one at Dave's Guitar Shop back in 1992 (my other bandmates at the time said "NO!!!" when I asked their opinion), and I regret not doing so. I like the larger size single coil G&L MFD pickups. An ASAT Special would also do me good (preferrably one of the older ones), as long as it isn't thin necked like the last ASAT Special I had was.

The only one I got: 2014 Am Deluxe: belly cut, neck-body joint cut, tortoise bound, locking tuners and olympic pearl are the specs... Oh, did I mentioned it came with a tortoise pickguard? I changed it to make it a cute blonde. And it came with noiseless N3 that I replaced: twisted pickup un the neck, 51 nocaster in the bridge. My luthier also did some wiring as I wanted: two volume pots, 3 selector with caps: bridge position is circuit disengaged, middle position is tone cut on the bridge pup, and as you guessed, neck position is tone cut for the neck pickup. Watch out for your eyes, haha[IMG]
