I have a 92 AmStd tele and am having issues with the wiring. As I turn up the volume, the treble increases. I’m sure I’ve got some wires crossed somewhere. I’ll try to send a pic.

The wire from the switch to the volume pot should attach to the outside lug of the pot, and the wire from the jack should attach to the middle lug. They appear to be reversed.

Thanks Lutherburger, I’ll switch the wires and see how it goes.

Which lug would be the outside? The one with the wire attached already or the one without the wires attached?

The one on top in the photo, with the wires attached. Swap that white wire with the one that's attached to the middle lug.

The other outside lug is soldered to the pot case, and should stay that way.

Thanks guys, I think I’ve got it figured out.
Lutherburger, I swapped the wires and it seems to work much better now. The guitar is quieter, treble doesn’t increase dramatically with volume and it even sounds clearer!

Thanks very much for the help, you guys are the best!

Yes it is. It seems to have a more usable sweep than before. There where also some cold solder joints on the switch I needed to flux up and reflow.
