Agree. I want to like those big Gretsches so bad, because they are gorgeous but they feel like the guitar equivalent of a school bus steering wheel to me.

ANY decision concerning the purchase of a guitar ought to be given a good healthy dose of contemplation, otherwise it's probably a wasted purchase. Hurrying to pin the tail on the donkey only ends up with losing money, and having to start all over again in most cases.

BTW, this process is not necessarily limited to guitar purchases.

I typically would choose Gretsch over just about anything. That being said, I'm not really enamored with the Streamliner line. I've played several and wasnt really wowed. Given the 3 choices in your poll, id go with the Ibanez and put a B6 on it.

Just got a 2622 last week:

I wasn't expecting too much for a $500 guitar. Boy, was I wrong! Insanely comfortable to play, I'm finding it harder to come up with reasons to spend a lot of money on a guitar anymore.

Again, if you need upper fret access, and even though it has a cutaway, that 2622 access is not that good.

I kinda like the idea for getting an Epi Dot and replacing the pickups (even though the stock pickups are not too bad) with FilterTrons.
