I've been reading opinions on everything imaginable on this sight for months. I come here for reviews on all my gear. You guys have had all the answers i needed without me having to ask the questions. I finally had to break down and join to get some good opinions on this.

I'm hoping someone will get back to me quickly. I've built a 2x12 extension cabinet for my Blues Jr. I'm installing a Cannabis Rex in the Jr and have a gb128 to put on the lower side of my / pattern 2x12. What would be a good speaker for the top? I really like the Eminence Red white and blue but it's over twice as many watts as the gb128 and the cr (both are 8 ohm, 50watt) I want all speakers to be pushed the same. Maybe a Weber 12F150? Help please! I have the hardware for the cab on the way and want to put it all together soon.

P.S. Definitely want a sparkly, American voiced speaker to go over the gb128. I think it will give it all a good flavor and I love making my guitars WAIL!

The speaker that came out of the Blues Junior.

It's one of those Fender Eminence "Gold Label" speakers, right? I had one of those and a GB 12 in my 5150 Combo and it was great! I may go back to it when I get an empty 212 cab for my Webers.

I dont think the split load will be running exactly the same..that said..you want clarity/sparkle in the extension to match your gb..I would look for a used c12n..
The cannibis will add the darker..

Ya I got the load split wrong. I need two 16 ohms... I'm thinking about an Eminence Wizard for the bottom end now but it might overpower whatever else is in there at 103 db sensitivity. Yes it is the Gold Label but it is 8 ohm. How could I wire that in an extension cab that would work?

The Eminence Legend 125 is essentially the same "Gold Label" speaker that came stock with the Fender Blues Jrs. and Hot Rod Deluxes. I think they are unfairly maligned here and on other internet forums.

I have Legend 125s and GB12s. Both are great speakers. I found the GB12 to really shine in a closed back application. I've got two old rat fur Avatar slant 2 X 12s. Each has one GB12 and one Celestion Vintage 30. The combination sounds great.

Match the speaker sensitivities not the wattage...wired in parallel, the speakers will each get the same wattage from the amp.

Maybe consider the Eminence Screamin Eagle. American voiced speaker, 50 watts like the GB 128 and 8 ohm. (It's also available in 16 ohm.)
Here's the Eminence link.

I love that GB12 speaker. Had one matched with an old Jensen C12PS in a 2x12, each 16 ohm. The Jensen broke up much earlier, but it did sound rather nice. Got a second GB12 to match with the first. That's a great sound ... I quit looking.
