After a very lengthy search, (8 mo) I found a Les Paul that has the harmonic juice. (there is a God) So I'm selling a bunch of stuff for the sacrifice.
The humble TS-9 reissue does some of what I like, enough that I'll miss it. I have a lots of other od's, and have definitely dipped into the Chinese pond. Pure Sky, Mosky Silver, Horse, Joyo Rumble Drive, beloved Sweet Baby, but I grew up on TS' and it's been very useful to me. I'm selling (not on here)my Reissue TS-9 JRC4558 style, so I need a cheap as possible clone.
The Kokko Overdrive TS caught my eye pricewise. Do any of you have any experience with it? Any other suggestions for that low end of $20 offerings? Eventually I may get a Demon TS-9/808 switching model, but now my needs are cheap & decent TS tone. Thank you in advance for your collective wisdom!

No one? Has the TS become passe' around here?
A few that have popped up on the nets are the Behringer TO800 and the Nux-OD3. I had a Joyo Vintage Overdrive that sounded pretty good, though a little crispier. I missed some of the smoothness of the Ibanez. Some say the TO800 is a respectable substitute.

I just got the Beringer TO800 and used it at a festival last Friday. I had used a
ts-10 since they first came out; in fact it was my first pedal. It quit working a yr ago and my ts-5 had problems.

I don't use OD often but really liked the ts-10. The TO800 sounded great didn't cost much and got in time for Friday:)
    On my TS-10 I'd set tone at 12 o'clock
TO800 I set tone at 2 o'clock. Otherwise no difference.

I’m a big fan of the East River Drive.
I think it’s an 808 clone, but whichever one it’s copying, it’s great.

Is a TS9 reissue so valuable that it’s worth selling?

I have a Nux, its fine, a bit less smooth than the 9 and 808. I also tried building a kit; it sounds like the Nux.

I'm throwing money at the Les Paul I have on layaway. I figure $25 for a clone gives me $50 more towards the guitar.

    .

I have been watching several of these types of threads and the popular cheapest options, all in that classic green:

    Behringer (most popular)
    Caline
    Kokko
    Joyo

$22-$30 each via Amazon, free shipping with $25+ order size.

Give it more than half an hour before complaining about the lack of response.
Get a Tube Screamer clone from www.chicagostompworks.com.

I think all the Chinese pedal outfits have a TS clone. Joyo, mooer, etc.

I have a Mooer Green Mile & love it. My first TS type pedal. Works well on it's own or as a boost stacked with my Boss DS-2 or Mooer Hustle Drive (OCD clone). Has a Keeley mod switch.

I need a 12 Step Tubescreamer program. I need to find a meeting. I have more on boards. I enjoy that sound a lot.

Not passé at all, but a TS is a TS is a TS. That said, if you're happy with your TS-9, you should keep it. Perception is everything here.

Never sell a dirt pedal;)! Once you do, they suddenly become ten times better than when you owned them! Besides theres gotta be better ways to scrape the cash for the Paul.
