These are the changes I made to mine. They are all very minor but they pushed the amp a little more to the Plexi side than the Bassman side. I liked the amp in it's stock form so I didn't want to go overboard on the mods. I picked the mods that would provide subtle changes to the voicing and gain structure. The main gain change mod I used is on a pull pot so it can be be out of the circuit too. I like this amp a lot more than the actual Marshalls I've owned. It has the classic rock sound I grew up on and always associated with a Marshall stack.

I did a similar thing last week. Ordered 220uF when it should have been 2200. Whoops.

Ok im going to expose my daftness.....i didnt think i had screwed up that bad and i really didnt......i re cheched what i bought with the actual circuit board and found that the cap was switched....sooo what i have is a 100uf/100v to replace a 150uf/16 v cap. Yes 16v is correct. But i remember someone say get as close as you can if you cant find exact and thats what this 100uf/100v is. Close as i could find....
    Thanks

Lololo.....looks like a bypass cap on the trem circuit, also the schem calls for 125uf but the one in there is 150uf. 0253A53D-D7B6-4B66-8D17-8ACE7DD2752E.jpeg

    What a handsome beast!

Any idea what the little partition between pot # 2 and pot #3 is all about?
