Help pricing a Custom USA Tele

    With all the conflicting opinions here, the answer is simple. Remove the neck and post photos of the neck and neck pocket markings. That will provide the answers to what you have.

    Cosign on taking the neck off, you can always put it right back on. Probably a 62 AVRI Custom and a lovely guitar.

    It is a MIA American vintage 62 custom tele. There are no MIA markings as this is a reproduction of the 62 teles which had no MIA marking either.

    @Rufustelestrats is exactly correct - no "Made in USA" on a guitar that replicates a year prior to Fender adding "Made in USA" in the middle 1970s.

    Look - I ran the number through Fender's serial number lookup and it verified it was a 1999-2012 American Vintage '62 Telecaster Custom. So that means it's a USA model.

    They rarely come up for sale, and the reason is that they are great guitars - I would say $1600 would be a very fair price.
