what are we looking at? a pic might help, it narrows down the search
If you speak about A Fender The Prefix V is used for the Vintage Reissue but mlso on some JApanese guitars so you need to give us more info on what you're looking for
USA. Dealer had no info he was too busy today
USA Made Vintage Series from 2016 - or that is what my Google search showed. That is all I got back.
This is a "Custom Shop Vintage Reissue" and according to my info doesn't go by dates.
It was made in Corona or Fullerton.
You may need to contact Fender. They might have some conclusive records.
Thanks so much. I think it is 2016. Too cheap for custom shop. How did you find the 2016? Not arriving till Friday.
Looks like V + 7 could be a fairly recent American Vintage S/N. Not listed here:
See this thread re a V + 7 Strat:
Seems like the V serial numbers are a hot mess.
I used this site:
It says this is a 2016 American made vintage reissue.
Email Fender Customer Support with the serial number.
Fender has a serial number lookup on their site - but you have to register for an account and then run the serial number as if you are going to register yourself as the owner of the guitar.
When I did that Fender's site returns that it is an American Vintage '52 Telecaster; the "V16" part of the serial number indicates that is is roughly a 2016 model - but Fender seems to "change over" their serial numbers in March of a given year these days so call it from between March 2016 and March 2017. Contacting Customer Service might get you a more exact date; otherwise you'll have to remove the neck and check the dates on it and the body.
I am going with 2016. Its really not important...just happy. They have some expensive ones on Reverb.com. I chose to do a search that took a long time. I am thinking I will be really happy.
Sorry. Forgot to thank each one for helping me. So Thanks all
Just email Fender yourself. It's not hard.
