does anyone remember the strats that came from the factory with a locking nut that was operated with a little lever?

the lever functioned like a cam lever on a bike wheel.....i really want/need one of these things and cannot find one anywhere....

    thanks in advance....

Do you mean like a Sperzel D thing or a Hipshot Guitar Xtender?
A tuning machine that allows you to flick a lever to drop tune?

Or just a Fender/Schaller locking tuner?

no, but thanks...this nut has a central "axle" upon which the strings rest, and rollers that pinch the strings tightly when the cam/lever end of the "axle" is flipped toward the headstock.

the guitars are singular in appearance even from a distance because of the 2" lever that runs parallel to the high "E" string and towards the end of the headstock when clamped tightly. the rollers, nut(axle), and lever are all one assembly comprising the nut.

the guitar may have been called a "super strat" for awhile.

    thanks again for any help..

    happy new year.

as above, it's a single assembly that includes pinch rollers and a cam lever similar to modern bicycle wheel axles... i can't even find a picture of it online and i know they were produced in a fender factory...weird how they've dropped completely off the radar.

There was a Contemporary Strat with a system III tremolo that had a lever operated
    locking nut, I think.

Can find almost nothing, though, not even a photo.
