    Not to sidetrack the thread here. :) I like that pickup ring on the strat. Where did you get this one?

    Sorry, I have no idea! That guitar isn't mine, it was built by Ash Customworks. He's a local New Zealand builder, who's probably supplying most of the wood for this build. He also gives me a lot of (well needed) advice :lol:

    Heres what I'd like.

    The rear end of #1, but flip it so the offset goes the other way.

    Front horns of #3

    Output moved to the body side

    Have the #1 pickguard come up to a sharp point like 2 and 3

    And I'll have mine in White Limba, with a good amber lacquer and a tortoise pickguard. Or if a solid color is a must... seafoam green with a "mother of toilet seat" pickguard.

    So perhaps something like this?

    The blackwood body on that Strat looks kinda Limba-y! Of course the pickguard would have to be tortoise :p

    Thats looking pretty good. I'd keep the beveled edges on it too, thats a nice touch.

    I might have the lower bout pull down more into a Jazzmaster-ish offset too;

    So what would everyone think of this as the final design? I'm not really after opinions really... It's pretty much settled in my mind now :D Thanks OpenG Capo4 for the input that took this design to the next level!

    Hope to see you all in a build thread later this year ;)
