Hello,

I have some difficulties to find the appropriate strap color with my new Vintera Modified Telecaster.
Surf green color is very cool... but difficult to associate.
The most basic and effective in terms of visual harmony is the opposite color rule. That goes for fashion, photography, products, whatever. The contrast of opposite colors causes an unconscious harmony in our brain. That's why Black and white works so well, that's why sunset is something that brings calm and peace, thanks to the opposition of teal and orange at that time of day (coloring such that is widely used in movies and Netflix series.

So...surf green? When in doubt, bet on the contrast of opposite colors. The first option is the winner. The opposite color to green is red, but brown is in the same monochromatic hue, so it works great (it's another combination that exists in nature: the brown and green of trees, plants, grass and earth).

Finally, thanks to all your comments, remarks & proposals, I found a strap that I really like with this surf green telecaster.

It is from Perri's Leather, made in Canada and the color name is "vintage brown" (look brown on sun light, less brown and with grey shades in shadowed light).

The cherry on the cake is that it is very confortable.
