One thing to remember about the F tuners is that there is currently no replacement for the pre 1975-ish tuners. This is because the Schaller ones have a collar on them, so they won't fit on your guitar without reaming the holes, something I wouldn't want to do on a vintage guitar.

I didn’t know that, good advise! I’d decided to leave the Schaller ones on anyway as they work perfectly and I’d have to re drill holes anyway, looks like they dowled up the original holes when they installed them.
