Just marked MADE IN USSR - boater-hat shaped getter, short black ribbed plates with silver sheild between the two.

    Any ideas would be welcome.

6N1 or 6N2 perhaps?. It sort of looks similar to those or a 6N4

    It isn't a 6F1, which probably doesn't help.

The 6N2P - 6Н2П, does look similar, and has a screen, but pin 9 is attached to the screen rather than the filament middle .
This tube has pin 9 attached in the resistive middle of pin 4 & 5 in normal humbucking 12AX7 manner. The screen, if it is acting as one, appears to be connected to nothing other than the getter, which it supports, and maybe has no other functing than that.

Anyway, double triode with 12XX7 pin-out it seems to be...I guess I will just plug it into a socket and see what it sounds like....either good -then use it, or not usefull, then toss it back in the box.
