I have an 18 pack of Coors Light in the garage.
OK...do we have to get out the blindfold?
well, okay, but, remember to give me your safe word... last time you were made for like a month.

I do have a bottle of Jim Beam Black from across the state line.
Well, it's BigDaddy approved.
Didn't you misspell "maid"?
I like it, too... sometimes. It's "the big gun."
Gee all I’d asked for was an inexpensive bourbon for BBQ. Guess I should have asked for recipes using bourbon for brisket and pork shoulder as well.
I learned along time ago, I’m not liked when using alcohol. I’m a nasty drunk. Why I used cannabis. Pot doesn’t do anything for me in cooking. Wines, sherries, and beer I’ve used in cooking. I see and have a few recipes for a bourbon flavoring in Q. A few brands have been noted and I’ll seek ‘em out if the Utard liquor monopoly has bought any.
I think Bourbon is also commonly used for glazes too, especially salmon or chicken.
We eat a lot of salmon up here and I usually make a teriyaki-type sauce, which means using sake and mirin, but I'm going to push the boat out next time and try bourbon. Or rye.
That sounds pretty good! I usually get teriyaki sauce off the shelf. I've never tried making my own.
In Japan, they always make their own, so there's that. You can start with four ingredients: soya sauce, sake, mirin and sugar. I often add chili flakes, garlic and ginger.
The perfect choice for one that does not drink actual beer.
I was chagrined to learn that Coors Light is the no. 2 beer brand. I suppose that is explained in part by the shift away from beer to other spirits and concern about carbs.
The jack and coke drinker, as a breed, will say 'ah okay, umm do you guys have any jaeger, we'll need some shots to pregame'
I'm just kidding... just having some fun.... my nieces husband, a bright and learned man and my brother, both LOVE coors light and delight in the horror that people have when they drink it BY CHOICE.
For beer, I've layed in a store of Tioga & Sequioa Firefall and Anchor Steam with my son's favorite Modelo and some green Dos Equis... we don't drink much, but, when we do.. well, like to have fun with it. My bro and James, they drink beer pretty much every day...
I use Jim Beam for cooking. Don’t have any recipes off the top of my head for meat, but I use it when I make BBQ sauce and at Thanksgiving for sweet potatoes with apples.
Does rice vinegar work as well as mirin, or are they different?
Mirin is a sweet rice wine, it's nothing like vinegar.
If you have a local Asian grocery store, it's time for a run!
If you drank, id say whatever you have on hand but since you don't I'll say buy the cheapest bourbon you can get your hands on. The EW black that others have mentioned will come close to being cheapest with the added bonus of not tasting bad should you have a guest who requests a bourbon and branch.
I drink wine for lunch and dinner, when i'm out for a drink i have beer or gin tonic/lemon....
McCormick! I used to buy their 1.75L plastic handles of whisky for me and my dormmates well before the legal drinking age was upon us.
