Hi! I've been coming to the forum for tips and suggestions before I decided on my brand new 2022 Fender Player Telecaster lake placid blue. I've been a strat-type player for a couple decades and mostly a keyboard player for even longer so this is a new instrument for me and a whole lotta fun.

Does anyone know the proper ashtray for these newer Player Teles?? I didn't see it mentioned when looking for info on bridge covers. I have the 'vintage Tele bridge cover' and it is definitely too small.

As my tradition, I have a new pedal on the way to pair with it, the Keeley Compressor+

Ah, that makes sense! ... I am used to this type of bridge setup from my strats but it looks just different enough that the strat covers I have on order might not fit either

Welcome to TDPRI. That pick guard goes great with that finish. Thank's for the close ups.

i was looking around at weird pickguards and then second guessed myself. it DOES look good. ... unless anyone has some amazing pickguard places ... I've been randomly searching around

is there a topic on the Player/modern Bridge? I'm surprised i didn't notice until i got it how different it was/would be. Seems like you could get into totally different or even windmill-style playing without the boxy traditional bridge (look, i'm trying to justify my purchase here hah)

i was really looking forward to using an ashtray too
