I traded a my beloved ZOOM G3n (and some $) for a nice Katana 50.
Looking forward to actually trying it out.
Pictures if I can figure out how to make that happen?

I really like my katana 50. Best home amp I have ever had. I use the g3 in my live gig and love that too. I think you'll be happy.

The Katanas are well regarded and there is a lot to like.

But I learned a long time ago not to trade gear that I love... Even if it's for different gear that I love.

If you have never tried a Katana 50 before, that sounds like a formula for heartbreak.

Good luck! I hope it's everything you imagined it would be!

Yep, the Katana 50 is a great buy. I've had mine for a few months and I'm loving it.
Hope you have a similar experience.

I like my Katana 50, but I find that I don't use many of the features. I mostly use the clean channel, with a little reverb, and that is it. The EQ section is very effective. But that is me on any amp. It's not that the crunch, lead, or brown channels are bad, it's just that I am a clean channel guy, I guess. And with clean, it sounds better set at at least 25 watts.

It is a very good inexpensive amp. I don't think it's well designed to make use of the effects capabilities in the real world, but it's a lot of fun and a good value.

I did get to try it. I did try it clean. I tried differing power settings.
    I like it.
I will have it in front of 200 +/- men tomorrow night.
None ever comment on my tone, but, sometimes they say they enjoy it.
    We will see if:
    a) I enjoyed it
    b) anyone else notices it ;)

    Consequently...
I have a friend... he is retired.
He has a room, I mean a building of authentic silver face and blackface originals (as well as some nice reissues) and MusicMans and Peaveys and such... he plays on his Katana 100 regularly. It brings him joy.

    I play mine everyday.
Its just an easy to dial in amp.
    Mines in my bedroom.

I get a lot of practice/ jam time thanks to the Katana.
    Fun amps.

Played the Men’s Event tonight with the Katana 50. Played four songs and I used the two channels with help from an older Boss delay I have.
Worked fine. I used the 25 watt setting and it was plenty (mic’d.)
Bass player said it sounded real good.

    Well...
    Update.
That dumb BOSS logo and goofy symbol must go!
Also, really, the computer interface is a Rabbit Hole.
Ok... with that said, to the positive.
With the guitar volume backed off I still can strike hard and get an output increase (and somewhat the similar tone as dialed in.)
Can’t describe better, but, I am still intrigued.

    You mean, the Suzuki Bandit?

Congratulations on the new amp! Connect it to your computer and it opens a lot more! I don't have one, but I have the Boss GT-100 + Headrush FRFR108. Kinda almost like the same thing with a Katana.
