So I’ve been playing guitar for a bit. Just now getting into learning the hardware part. My names ryan Hartman and my brother was a guitarist named mike Hartman from Indiana. He was a guitarist rising in the ranks along with John-5 at the time. He passed away in 2000 and his wife gave all his **** away but I was lucky enough to get his first telecaster...I didn’t get to appreciate him when he was around because he was 9 years older than me and a dick. But thanks to him and his school notes I leave each day waiting to play. I’m doing it more for my enjoyment but also because it’s fascinating. I’m big into the theory part and midi is my interest. If you have any questions ask away or inform me...I love to learn

His wife may have sold all his **** , but you got the Tele.
I'd get it set up properly:
    1) looks like the bridge saddles need to be adjusted for proper intonation.
    2) I would get rid of the alphabet soup on the fretboard.

    Welcome.

Funny you say that about your brother, I have a brother 9 years younger who was great as a kid (he was a cool kid) but grew up to be a dick!:)

My brothers wouldn’t know a tele from a PRS.

I forgot to say before. "Hello, give me attention now!" is what my daughter kiddingly says now when she comes home. Ah, those 20-somethings. For a second, I though your post was her...

Find a tech and get it set-up, and new strings installed. Of course, you could do these things yourself and enhance the joy of guitar ownership. A few simple hand tools are all that is required. Several on-line music sites sell small tool kits specifically made for this purpose, and instructional manuals. Did you get a hard shell case with your Tele?
