First of all, I have such an appreciation for TDPRI, and all who so generously share information here.

I've been a reader of TDPRI for the past couple of months. My Google searches in pursuit of answering my burning questions alwalys lead me here.
    - Which tele to buy? (I've always played rock&roll with hum bucker-equipped guitars)
    - What's the difference between the various Fender neck profiles?
    - Types of frets?
    - Yep, pickups?
    - Many more.

These questions arose during my recent decision-making hell, a time that I actually enjoyed and learned much. Like a ping pong ball my thought went something like this:
    - Squier CV 50s - looks great, no-brainer affordable, but has the modern C neck
    - Baja teles with soft V neck. Now discontinued, which lead me to seriously look at the modified 50s Vintera
    - My lust for an A050s Tele was damped by the cost.
    - Go back to step one - CV50s, repeat.:D

Recently, I found a great deal on a used AO50s Tele in excellent condition. It should be here in a few days. Pictures to follow.

It's strange to say, but in this crazy world, I've found a certain solice in reading and learning from the wealth of information available here at TDPRI. After years of rock & roll, I now want to embrace the styles of Don Rich and so many others.

    Cheers!
    Wally

    Hello, all.

    Pics, finally!

This is my first Fender. It feels so solid, yet light. A perfect design.
The "U" neck profile fits perfectly into my medium-size hands.

It sounds great - twang/snarl from the bridge pickup, to warm jazz from the neck pup with tone rolled down a bit.

This could be my only guitar.

    Cheers.

I did seriously look at them. Great price! Some looked like G&L ASAT Tribute clones, another model that I considered along the way.

    Cheers!
