Good morning. My name is Dan, living in SE Wisconsin. I am primarily an acoustic musician, playing guitar, banjo and mandolin primarily in the bluegrass and folk genres, though I like all kinds of music. I just got back into electric guitar about a year and a half ago. I don't want to bore you with the details, but I started taking electric guitar lessons about a year and a half ago as I needed guidance as teaching myself the proper technique, I was struggling as I wanted to go back to acoustic style. When I started taking lessons, I purchased a Squier 40th anniversary telecaster. I though that would best suit me as I wanted to play 50's and 60's music. Well, me and that guitar never connected, and I sold it to buy a Fender strat. That guitar got me going, and I now own two strats and a shredder for metal.
Anyhow, all that aside, I have the telecaster bug again. One of my strats is a Logan (my avatar), and I love that guitar. In fact, Bob Logan is the one who recommended this site to me. I was looking at another Logan that he is selling cheap, but I can't get past the color. So, I am looking at buying a telecaster, or better yet, building one, from parts (though maybe build the body from scratch). So, I wanted to join this forum to learn from you all what would work for me, but also hope to join in once I get my feet wet on telecaster again.
Thanks for reading,
Dan
