I started building almost 2 years ago and have gotten a bit of good information from this site in the past, mainly on the finishing side of the house. A friend wants a custom Tele built....so I may as well join the forum since I'll be spending a bit of time in the DIY section!

Welcome. I'm also in SE PA. Cherry makes a nice tele, but just to warn you mine is over 9 lbs.

Yes, heavy indeed! I'll probably do some weight relief chambering in the body like I did in the LP below and put a drop top on (maybe maple) with binding if needed.

Yes, welcome Pete! You've come to a great place, and I'm sure you can contribute lots of great info yourself. Though I've lived in California for many years, I am originally from Delaware County PA. I hope all is well in Bucks these days.
