Hello TDPRI, I'm a new Tele owner and wanted to say Hello. I bought a 2016 Lake Placid Blue MIM Tele a couple weeks ago and just finished a few modifications today. I swapped out the pickups for the Fender Yosemites, which I decided on after doing a lot of reading on this excellent forum. I think they sound great. As I think someone else posted on this site, I didn't think the stock ceramic pickups were bad, just not quite "Tele" enough. While I was at it, I swapped out the pickguard for a Fender white moto. (I bought Black also and liked that as well, but the Mrs. felt strongly about the white moto.) Finally, I put on the string guide from the American strats. I did a lot of reading on TDPRI about Tele bridges. I was tempted to swap out the bridge for one with brass saddles while I had it apart, but decided against it - again, based on a lot of info from this site. Below is a pic, alongside my first love, my 2005 American Deluxe Strat. I'm strictly a bedroom player. In addition to the two below, I've got a Les Paul. I got into pedal DIY a couple years ago, so you can see a bunch of those in the background. Finally, I'd like to thank all the members of this forum for the great information and advice that I've found here.
