I'm writing this post in the morning, so I'll say good morning - but to those who read it later, good day.

I'm new to the forum, but not new to Fender, or to Telecasters or to guitars in general. I've been playing for 40 years. I love the Blues, from John Cotton to SRV, I like Southern Rock, a bunch of 80s tunes, and anything from Led Zep or Pink Floyd or Hendrix. That being said, I've aged into appreciating all kinds of music, yet when it comes to playing, I like sticking with the songs and players I loved growing up. I've written a few songs over the years, but mostly I've focused on just playing. I play in church every Sunday with a great group of musicians.

I've bought and sold dozens of guitars over the years, but I only have one Fender Telecaster (Don't let the MJT relic'd Esquire on the left in the photo below fool you). The Fender Select Tele on the right is my only Fender Tele. I didn't have a pic of the Koa Top by itself, so I tossed this one up - I hope that doesn't offend anyone.

I am on a few other forums under different pseudonyms. I've been lurking for a few years and this morning I decided to join.

As they say in Japan, upon introducing yourself to a new group: Dan desu. Dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu (I'm Dan, please treat me kindly). I'm not Japanese, but I admire a classy intro..

Howdy and welcome!
Cool Teles!

I played gigs and made an album in your fair province, in the 90’s.
I played in Brandon, and Winnipeg with The Outriders (a Texas based touring bar show band).
I made an album with Canadian artist Harley Davis in 1995, at Sunshine Records Studio.

Cool! I started playing guitar in '88. Winnipeg was a great place to see live bands back then. Don't think I ever caught your act. My first band broke up and two of the guys, Warren and Darren, went on to join the "Dust Rhinos" - a sort of Celtic band that was playing the pubs around then.

Welcome aboard!!

How about those wildfires, eh? We are dealing with Air Quality Alerts way over here in the Adirondacks!
Wow! I hope it's thinned out by the time it gets there! We've had a few rough days but that's the price of living next to 369 million hectares of forest. Most of the time it's just a free standing nation wide air filtration system - making air pollution practically non-existent in Canada. But it can get kinda nasty when even just a couple of million hectares burn.

We are under an Orange Alert again today. No real problem for me, but people with lung conditions or other breathing infirmities are at risk.
