I like guitars and I like playing them. Guitars with no fancy appointments and fret inlays are my favorite and I enjoy building guitars from guitar necks I find on sale at reverb. My favorite guitar is a Jim root Stratocaster that I put fishman fluence modern pickups in.

Welcome @Conquistador.

How do you like the Fluence pickups? I was deciding between fluence and a DG20 (EMG) set for my old parts caster. I ended up with the DG20s.

They’re quite versatile. You can have a classic metal sound, modern metal sound, and then single coil sound for cleans. I think the classic and modern should be in your library if you like active pickups.

Hi and welcome Conquistador.

To me the only « no fancy guitar » is the classical butterscotch Telecaster.
Active pickups ... it's already fancy ! 😜

C'mon in & have a seat...
We'll have more questions after the pics, like: what's your strategy @ Reverb? and so forth.
Peace - Deeve
