It isn't just the locals who know.I went to Mohawk College in Brampton WAY back in '84. I commuted from Hamilton daily. I took the commercial art and design program. Locals know that Brampton is the home of Wayne Gretsky and Phil Hartman.

As far as finishing goes, I don't think that it could get easier than this.

Thanks! It was my only guitar for a decade. But in all honestly, since building that tele partscaster, I've barely touched the ricLove that Rickenbacker!
Welcome to TDPRI - Enjoy your Stay!Hello, My Tele People!
I just turned 50 and I'm pretty excited to be starting my first ever guitar build.
I own a Korean made Les Paul copy (since 1988?), a Godin Session (Strat), a Gretsch Streamliner Jr., a Guild acoustic, a Martin D15 and an Oma (Taiwan) acoustic.
I'm in open-book mode right now, just trying to understand the scope of what I need to learn. I recently discovered a local wood supplier and I purchased by blanks last weekend. African mahogany body, walnut neck, red marblewood fretboard and a couple of MDF templates.
I'm really looking forward to this... like nothing I've ever done.
Cheers,
Rod
I came very close to buying one about 10 years ago... my wife basically kicked me out the door with a "Oh, fer Christ sake, stop moping around the house and just go get it!". I'd been eyeing it for a while. You could have lit the night sky with the fire coming off me as I hit the local Long & McQuade. I got there ten minutes later and... yup... gone. "Not an hour ago", they said. "And you're the third sap to ask about it since it went out the door", they said. Thanks! It was my only guitar for a decade.
